The 1^st International Bioenergy and Environment Congress (I-BE-C) « From Photosynthesis to Biotechnology », I-BE-C 2021 is NOW a WEB CONGRESS. SAVE THE NEW DATES: FROM 16 to 18 February 2021

The BIAM institute (Bioscience and biotechnology Institute of Aix-Marseille) is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 7265) CEA – CNRS – Aix-Marseille University which is interested in the responses of living organisms to environmental constraints and the mechanisms of energy bioconversion and production of high added value molecules. It also develops biotechnologies aimed at preserving the quality of the environment or producing biofuels. The « Cité des Énergies » was born in the context of the technological maturity of R&D projects.

The I-BE-C Congress is an important step for the international scientific community working in the field of low-carbon energy. To celebrate this event, CEA Cadarache is pleased to invite you to this first web congress, developed with the support of many partners from the SUD Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur Region.

We are focused to introduce the latest achievements. The conference provides you with endless opportunities to network with fellow attendees and get exposed to new ideas.

COVERAGE

I-BE-C 2021 will cover several fields of fundamental and applied research ranging from light harvesting, CO₂ acquisition and assimilation, biomass and hydrogen production, or lipid metabolism in plants or microalgae (Chlamydomonas, Nannochloropsis…).

Recent progress in enzymatic and microbial fuel cells will also be described. All this topics will be presented and discussed by leading scientists from all over the world.
