Bio:
Dave Kramer is a Hannah Distinguished Professor In Photosynthesis And Bioenergetics in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Michigan State University (https://prl.natsci.msu.edu/people/faculty/david-m-kramer/). His long standing interest is the energetics of photosynthesis, with the aim of understanding how these processes function at both molecular and physiological levels, how they are regulated, how they define the energy budget of plants and the ecosystem, how they have adapted through evolution to support life in extreme environments and ultimately how photosynthesis works in vivo. Development of novel spectroscopic tools and approaches allow Dave’s lab to track many of the photosynthesis reactions in living plants under natural conditions.
