Bio:

Jian XU is a Professor in Genome Engineering Group and Director of Single-Cell Center (http://www.Single-Cell.cn) at Qingdao Institute of BioEnergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Using Nannochloropsis oceanica as a model, we have been dissecting and engineering the molecular networks underling photosynthetic conversion of carbon dioxide to oils. We also develop synthetic biology toolboxes for single-cell Raman imaging, sorting and sequencing and for microalgal genome engineering.
